टीम इंडिया ने लगातार दो बार और घर पर टी20 वर्ल्ड कप जीतने का रिकॉर्ड भी अपने नाम किया।
टी20 वर्ल्ड कप 2026 के फाइनल में भारतीय टीम ने शानदार प्रदर्शन करते हुए न्यूजीलैंड को 96 रनों से हराकर तीसरी बार खिताब अपने नाम किया। अहमदाबाद के नरेंद्र मोदी स्टेडियम में खेले गए इस मुकाबले में टीम इंडिया ने एकतरफा जीत दर्ज की।
भारतीय टीम ने पहले बल्लेबाजी करते हुए 20 ओवर में 255 रन बनाए। टीम के लिए संजू सैमसन ने 46 गेंदों में 89 रन की शानदार पारी खेली, जबकि अभिषेक शर्मा और ईशान किशन ने भी अर्धशतक लगाकर टीम को बड़े स्कोर तक पहुंचाया।
इसके जवाब में न्यूजीलैंड की टीम 159 रन पर ऑल आउट हो गई और भारत ने तीसरी बार टी20 वर्ल्ड कप का खिताब अपने नाम किया। भारत की ओर से जसप्रीत बुमराह ने शानदार गेंदबाजी करते हुए 4 ओवरों में मात्र 15 रन खर्च करते हुए चार विकेट लिए और प्लेयर ऑफ द मैच बने।
